I bought this a little over 3 months ago hoping it would outweigh other similar batteries and electric corkscrews that had a limited lifespan because the charger 'died' ". I liked these at first but then got stuck trying to open the bottle two weeks ago. It turned out to be a plastic plug which I didn't notice. What a mess. I tried unsuccessfully to dig up the macerated cork for about an hour. At this point, I'm assuming the company won't take it back. DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY if you want every wine to be opened regardless of cork type.
