i just received this cartridge 5 days ago and i am very happy to join the cartridge club Join Moving Coil . Investing in a high end preamp with MM and MC phono inputs finally got me ready to take the plunge and I chose this one for a number of reasons. It has slightly higher performance than most low powered MC trolleys and is also quite pliable as the recommended needle pressure is 1.4 grams. Most of the reviews I've read commented on excellent tracking and surface noise reduction, and I can confirm that this is absolutely true. Crackling or crackling is seldom heard. It just sounds like music, and it's so amazingly true I can't do it justice. The highs aren't overdone - the mids aren't muddy, but instead add intimacy to the stage. Feeling. On the bass side I felt a punch that I had never experienced with my moving coil pickups before. To me this is the perfect entry point into moving coil pickups and won't break the bank. I have a Denon DP-47F TT and I think the arm is perfect for this cartridge. It's nice to have an auto repeat turntable that automatically plays the side of the album. I took an album that I didn't really like but was in excellent condition and played one side over and over to speed up the break-in time of the pen. I didn't even turn the volume up because I wasn't even in the room most of the time. But it's true, a new stylus benefits greatly from a few hours of break-in. I didn't realize how good this cartridge is until it was broken in for about 5 hours.

Pros
  • perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • is there anything i can add
