Review on 🚴 Bike Tire Inflator - Presta and Schrader Compatible Air Compressor Tool by Prestaflator by Brian Wolf

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Cheap product but you get what you pay for!

I received and tried this product 60 minutes ago. I can't tell if I received a used or returned item as the sensor was covered in sticky fingerprints. Pooh. I hooked it up to my compressor and noticed that the Presta/Schraeder jet is not connected to the Presta valve at all. It falls off and never really seals the valve. So get ready. A few days ago I bought a set of Presta fittings for a Schraeder valve from Revain and was thinking of putting one on my bike valve. Well it worked better. This allowed the head to hold on tighter and inflate the tire. Without this article, the Prestaflator is useless junk. I bought a cheap item because I don't plan to use it very often. I needed this to be able to go from tubular to tubeless and I needed something that quickly mounts the tire on the rim. If I needed something for a shop or everyday use I would spend my money on a much better product. So if you're planning on buying this and want to go the cheap route AND are willing to be frustrated by its shortcomings, then by all means buy it. What I had to do was buy a pump to inflate parking tools because buying the right tool for the right job is the right thing to do. But I didn't want to spend a lot of money. If that lasts a year, I'll be amazed. This product is really "eco" quality. ***UPDATE***: I have decided to return this product. I broke down and ordered a $20 more PRO version which just arrived. I tested it and it seems to work much better. So if you are thinking of buying the ECO version because it is cheap, DO NOT. Spend a few bucks more and buy a PRO model or buy another manufacturer's product. The ECO product is indeed rubbish for bike tires with Presta valves. *** UPDATE 2 *** The PRO version works as advertised. The investment seems very cheap, but it does the job. Not sure if the plastic parts will hold up, but I don't plan on using this every day. I bought it to mount my tubeless tires on rims and probably not for anything else. I will be using a manual floor pump to inflate the tires daily.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
