This gate is exactly what we were looking for. Easy installation (1/2 hour from start to finish). I was a little worried because the reviews said there was no tolerance for the installation with the bottom molding. It wasn't like that. The bottom bracket is adjustable for mold mounting. The spacing between the bars is 2". This is very attractive. Again, I was concerned that it would look ugly between my kitchen and living room. Just note that there is a strip of metal under the gate that you attach to need to get used to I recommend it to my friends.
