Fits straight. Just put it in the hold. This particular mat covers all the mounting hooks (one in each corner) but there are cut outs in the mat where the mountings are for the end user to cut out. I chose not to because I know I will never use mounts and cutting the mat creates areas for dirt and liquids to enter. If you intend to use mounts I would not recommend this brand. . I've seen other brands leave this area open if that makes a big difference to you. Based on my experience with the WeatherTech brand, I recommend taking the earbuds out of the box upon receipt and laying them out at home for 8-8 hours. 24 hours. If the mats are left at room temperature for a while, any creases formed during packaging/transportation will smooth out as if by magic.
