Review on 🔌 Rosewill USB WiFi Nano Adapter Dongle: N150 Wireless Speeds, Raspberry Pi/Pi 2 Compatible by Andrew Dinelli

The RNX-N180UBE is by far the worst antenna I've ever bought and I'm saying that after ONE DAY of use. First, it was my fault for not noticing that it was a Realtek chipset when ordering. the one on me I've never had a Realtek based USB WiFi antenna that worked with Windows 7 Pro (64-bit) anyway like it would with a different chipset. I replaced an old USB WiFi antenna that has just seen better days. It was almost 2 years old and was starting to lose signal and its peak receive rate dropped from 400 Kbps to 145 Kbps on my 802.11N network. (By the way, I am writing my review from THIS antenna! ) This Rosewill didn't even hit 100 kbps at its peak on my network. I installed and connected the driver. I was connected for 1 minute before disconnecting (I didn't turn off power saving mode on the USB ports, I turned it off). Assuming it was a function of my computer, I made sure the device manager gave priority to this antenna. It didn't help. Downloading the updated Realtek driver from their website didn't fix anything. Every minute or two it stopped finding the network. By the way, the antenna mounting screw gets very hot. The amount of force this thing has to pull is insane, and I wouldn't be surprised if the heat it generates melts itself. I made sure that the device manager has given priority to this antenna.
