Gets the job done!: Computer Accessories & Peripherals

If you are a memory lover or media editor (or game developer in my case), this thing will be your lifesaver. It might sound paranoid, but every time you run electricity through any part of a computer (however small), you're still "gaining" miles for something. Due to the many iterations of my game's source files, videos I edit, or other projects, I need a safe place for local backup in addition to my cloud backup. Because fetching from the cloud can be slow. decant and then store in an anti-static bag or other location. This is especially handy for SSDs as it has matching rail slots for 2.5" and 3.5" drives. It's fairly slim and has a power switch on the back so the drive can be unplugged before you swap it out. Another use case, the *your mileage may vary* scenario, uses it to replace an SSD with game files installed. on them. I have limited PC case space and I also enjoy playing games on different PCs I have (HTPC or laptop). If you keep Steam files or other game client installation files here, you can easily transfer them to another computer using this docking station to play games. I'll add that it needs to be a USB 3.0 or faster port to use properly, but games load and work fine for me using this method. Saves you from overburning or installing on multiple drives and is a great way to improve the quality of life. So far it works very well for me and the price is definitely fair for what you get. If any of the above sounds good, give this dock a try.
