No matter how hard I tried I couldn't help but slip while sharpening the grooves and left lots of scratches on my clubs Face just behind the grooves. Does it affect performance? I do not think so. Ugly? I'd be pissed if I had 1300 racquets and cared about the finish line. But it sure works. I'm a bit strict here. If you really want to get your grooves right, this thing is perfect. I just don't see the need, but I've used it once and will probably use it once a year maybe. If you don't have any of these, I suggest just getting a good combination of brushes that has one side soft, one side metal bristles, and a brush on the end. This will help you quickly while playing. This is for precise SHARPENING.
