To be honest, I had my doubts about the unnamed brand disc. But like some of the other reviews I was willing to give up the previous manufacturer since they raised the prices so high. And it helped that Smart Buy had a pretty good rating. With my previous brand I had 10 final DVDs left and started getting bad records. About every 4th hard drive has failed. What was discouraging. Of course I ran out of blanks and had to burn a few more discs. I updated my recorder's firmware (which only improved BR playback) and got new DVDs from Smart Buy. The first tan was flawless. And now also 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. I will definitely buy this product again.
