After several weeks of daily use on chicken thighs (they cut meat really well) a knife started catching on the bolt head. Fully tighten the internal spring which effectively locks the scissors in place making it impossible to open/close until you take a screwdriver to loosen the mechanism. I don't see it very sorry. This design would be much stronger without the internal spring. Edit: I was able to temporarily fix this issue by soaking the spring mechanism in WD-40 and then soaking it in degreasing soap and then sterilizing it. To prevent this, you must clean and dry your scissors (particularly the spring mechanism) after each use and then store them upright to allow any moisture remaining in the spring mechanism to drain.
