This is a basic, comfortable cotton t-shirt to wear under other shirts or sweaters. It shrinks a lot with washing, so go up a size if your child is close to the next size up. I'm attaching a picture where you can see it goes down almost a full size so after washing the shirt looks more like a size 8 than a size 9/10. He lost about 2 inches from the bottom and 2 inches around the body and 1 inch from the sleeves. Like any cotton shirt, it gets dirty easily and sweat stains form under the armpits. For this reason, I suggest that this shirt is better used as an undershirt than for sports or alone.
