Finally a light that works

Lepower 28W LED with motion sensor - so far so good. I used three cheaper motion detectors (Defiant) and each lasted a maximum of 3 days. Then they start blinking or turn on and don't go off or turn on at all. Maybe the cheap $16 units were a waste of time. I bought this LED light from Lepower for about double the price of a cheap Defiant and so far I love it. Nice bright light that always works. Installing into the existing round mounting box on the side of my house was easy. I'm fairly knowledgeable about electricity, but you don't need to be an electrician to install them. Turn off the power at the fuse box. Connect black to black, white to white, and green/yellow to ground inside the box. Screw the attachment onto the central threaded bolt in the supplied cross brace using the special hollow screw that is also supplied. (Be sure to adjust the cross brace so that the center screw is facing you.) By the way, there is a small rubber washer in the package with the hollow "screw" - place the rubber washer on this screw before you tighten it light in the beginning; it forms a weather seal. That's all. For anyone wondering what size screw is used to attach the cross brace: 8-32, available at any hardware store or in your trash can. The unit comes with mounting screws, but if your recessed box sits too deep in the side wall of your home, you may need a few longer screws. One more thing for those who had issues with the motion sensor lighting, I was kind of wondering if the AC mains interference was causing my previous Defiant-branded devices to fail. My lamp is plugged into the same circuit as my 46 inch Samsung TV on the other side of the wall and of course the TV has a large switching power supply that can generate RFI. I slightly doubt this is a problem, but just in case I placed a snap toroid on the black and white (hot and neutral) wires in the back box to quell any interference that might come in. I don't know if that helps, but it won't hurt. Anyway, Lepower has been fine here in the Pacific Northwest for a week.
