Review on 🐟 Aqueon 16-Inch Large Siphon Vacuum Gravel Cleaner by Julie Howard

I wanted a longer suction tube to give the gravel more time to settle so I bought this product. First, the small valve that the hose attaches to causes pain. It tends to get stuck so you can't start the siphon, or it's half closed and clogged. The next complaint is the hose on this unit. It's just big enough that the barbs that attach it to the hose won't snag, so you can expect it to work when you're cleaning, and as a result there's water everywhere when a full hose comes out of the reservoir. I tried using silicone to permanently attach the tubing but found it wouldn't stick to the plastic. A stainless steel hose clamp is a poor choice for me as it will be used in a saltwater pool. I'll try plastic zip ties one day but haven't gotten around to it yet because I just tossed it in a corner after the last soak when the tubing came loose. I would not recommend this product.
