I bought this expensive bike rack because it was the only one with a ramp. My precarious back situation doesn't allow me to lift heavy objects, although the posture itself requires lifting weights to secure it. (Stop it, I'm 76!) On my very first attempt to roll my heavy, tired e-bike up the ramp, the ramp fell off and broke in two places. (Plastic plugs on the joints - see photo) I might try super glue but I'm not yet impressed with the build quality. The ramp is attached to the frame with a thin piece of plastic and I'm curious how long it will last. I can get a 2x6 board with a metal edge on the end, but if I have to I could get a cheaper rack with metal loops for my 4" hoops that looks a lot safer than the flat platform on this one. Also, I had to Ordered $20 XXL tire straps plus $5 shipping that won't even arrive until next week so I can't even test them until then. Just another bitter pill to swallow.
