I have been using this carrier with e-bikes and road bikes for three months now. Compared to the $400 hitch posts I've used in the past, this thing is amazing. I like the quick release mount and its relatively light weight. Having 2 55lb e-bikes makes me feel a bit flexible, but mostly in the hitch. I have had several towbar mounted bike carriers over the years which always required compromises. They weren't well designed, they weren't durable, and they endangered the bikes, the vehicle, and me. I had had enough and was looking for an answer. Here is the answer! First, it works with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitch receivers. That's important because we have different cars that everyone has.
