This fridge will keep ice frozen for hours, almost 20. Even though the bin will run out when you add ice, the locking feature on the lid will keep the cold well sealed for a long time. This is ideal for day trips or weekend getaways for a small family of 3-4 people. It's very well built. When we got back from our trip we left the box open while unloading. The ice was still frozen 2 hours later when we emptied it, even with the box partially open! The only downside I would say is the space. The more ice in the fridge, the less space you think. The items on top must be flat or the lid will not close properly.
