This device has an unacceptable design defect. I assumed at first that if I hit a hard object the valve might break as long as it doesn't smash my oil pan. Instead, I hit a patch of carpet on the freeway. Since this valve is only a 90 degree ball valve, chances are you're unlucky and the valve is pointing down when closed. There are two things this company could do that a high school student could figure out for himself. First, the valve handle must be in line with the valve when closed so that the handle does not protrude. Another option would be to rotate the ball valve 180 degrees so that if your valve is pointing down the street you could just rotate the valve all the way to the other closed position. I can't believe this company didn't get it. Use at your own risk.
