Warning - do not recommend
We bought these because we have a couple of cats who sometimes get into little fights. We put one in our den and as you can see from the attached photo it must have weathered all of a sudden leaving a horrible oily stain on the drywall. Our house remodeling guy said he would try sealing and painting the drywall, but if that doesn't work the drywall in that area will need to be cut and replaced. Other than that I can't judge the effectiveness of the product as drywall damage is a disqualifying factor.
