Mediocre at best. - Car Audio

Okay. There are only two good things about this little radio that I could tell after 4 months of use: it has decent amplification and a nice clean sound. It goes well with devices, but probably too well. Which brings me to the cons. First, Bluetooth competes for the top spot even when the radio is off. If you have a headset that you use for phone calls (like me) this radio will override it. It turns on and connects to the phone whether you like it or not. It's really annoying because it won't let go of the phone even if you turn off the radio. As a result, most calls are dropped. The next minus is that the USB port does not work, at least on the iPhone. It does not charge and does not transmit sound. Useless. The third and final downside is that the display on this radio is EXTREMELY bright. To night blindness. There is no dimmer mechanism at all, at least I can't find one. It's so bad that I have to close the screen during those times when I really need to see through the windshield at night, which is most of the time. Large fonts on the display are good, but the brightness is of course too high. Although I haven't bought it yet, the radio below seems to have almost identical features with display dimming for night driving: https://www. amazon.com/Car-Stereo-Single-Din-Bluetooth-Receivers/dp/B01N1SWQ0Y/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1489118377&sr=8-11&keywords=bluetooth+car+stereo
