These pedals were designed and built by someone who doesn't know or care about pedals. They are totally unsuitable. They have the rough shape of the pedals but don't work at all. Upon opening the packaging, the giant plastic flares and dingy plastic ridges should indicate that quality and functionality were not considered in their manufacture. Someone was trying to scam consumers who were looking for pedals out of their hard earned money by mailing junk pedals. I knew I would be buying a replacement very soon. Looking at the threaded end of the shaft one could see and touch the exposed ball bearings and grease exposed to the environment. The product description says they are waterproof but apparently they are not. When bolting parts to the bike, there should be a hard, flat "washer" surface to lean on and tighten. You guessed it, it wasn't. This surface is sharper and tapered, and it cut into and damaged my cranks. It also caused the pedals to keep loosening for the first few feet of the ride, until it eventually damaged my cranks so badly that I was stuck in them. . I totally understand quality issues or inferior products, but it's actually a scam to claim these parts are pedals. By no means will they function as pedals in every situation. They are junk in the form of pedals.
