I am changing the 60th version of Nvidia cards for the third time. First 960, then 1060, and then 2060: everything from Gigabyte, since in terms of price-quality ratio this has been the best option for Full HD for many years. In general, the previous generation suited me, but the marketing had an effect on me, and I wanted to try out DXR and DLSS, and, well, twist everything that can be twisted, which has been happening for a whole year. And everything would be fine, but the card is hot, like Angelina Jolie in her best years - 82 degrees at maximum load and 45-48 IN Idle, which, although not critical, is unpleasant, especially since the noise at the same time is as if the system -He'll fly away, but he doesn't promise to return at all. And what I didn't do: 1) Installed Noctua coolers in the case 2) I disassembled the video card (it's just that the manufacturer does not put seals) and changed the entire thermal interface, especially since the manufacturer, in order to save money, decided that the dried mud from the puddle could be called "thermal paste". 3) I put the system unit in the most ventilated place in the house and opened it. Everything is useless. Then I decided to take the most extreme step - undervolting, aka downvolting, i. E. voltage drop, because at the factory, it is usually overestimated by at least 100 MW. In the end, from the standard 1845 MHz at 950 MV (the card itself removes frequencies and voltage when it reaches a high temperature; at the peak, the turbo boost brings it to 2025 MHz), I managed to get a stable 1890 MHz at 850 MV, which removed about 10-15 degrees from the chip, that is, 68 -73 degrees in heavy tasks, while I emphasize that the performance did not fall, since the frequencies are even higher than those that the cores were thrown off when heated. I highly recommend you, so as not to suffer, like me, through the MSi Afterburner program, guided by manuals on the Internet, spend a few hours of your life and cool the ardor of this monster.
