I have had a variety of underground dog fences for over 20 years. This is by far the best thing I've ever bought. Rechargeable collars work best. The system will automatically beep to let me know the collars need to be charged. Great battery savings and good for the environment, no need to throw away batteries or worry about running out of battery. This time I didn't bury the wire, but attached it to wooden fence posts or put it through small plastic tubes. That way I can easily find any broken wires and don't have to run a new wire. Now that my dogs know their limits I sometimes remove the tines so the sound and vibration is enough to protect them so they can run and play and it gives me peace of mind.
