Review on πŸ” Norpro Hamburger Press: Efficient, One-Size White Design for Perfect Burgers by Erik Haynes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I LOVE THIS PRESS! It's cheap, it's plastic, it's AWESOME!

You know what? It s cheap. It's plastic. and not even heavy plastic. but I still give five stars because I love it - and I hate plastic! I bought it because it seemed to have more reviews than the more expensive models and I figured I would get more for my money - other reviews say a lot about parchment and wax paper etc. Well I'm pretty unpretentious in the kitchen and don me don't like a lot of junk so I don't bother, and this thing has always worked perfectly - I just take a dessert plate and put a hunk of ground beef on top and mash it up. The burger usually comes out really nice, and every once in a while when it's sticking (I've noticed this when the meat is getting thick or starts to get too hot) I just push the plunger all the way down (so it's out of the way). there). part of the mold) and remove the patty (I think if it got really stuck I'd scrape it off with a spatula, but I didn't even have to do that). I'm starting out by baking cakes and sometimes I make different sizes for different family members based on their liking. Sometimes I push them forward with my hand before giving them a proper push with the mold. When making a thinner patty, I sometimes twist the plunger while pressing down to really spread the meat evenly and quickly. The thing is completely disassembled for washing (it is disassembled into 3 parts) and simply reassembled. My dishwasher hasn't worked in months so I haven't used it, but I'm pretty sure you can put it on the top shelf of the washing machine with no problem. Yes. I, a plastic hater, love my cheap, basic plastic cake press. And I have two kids, so we make a lot of burgers. and now they're real cakes-- hooray!
