Multiport Received around 4th August 2010 Needed more ports for laptop. The laptop (ACER Aspire 5100) has 3 ports, one on the side and two on the back. Plugged (booted 4 usb lanes) into one of the rear ports and after a few days the rear ports stopped working. Went to an authorized service station and they believe the rear connectors are blown because the laptop connectors are supposed to be powering a multiport device. The ad states that an external power supply is not required and is not included (although the MultiPort appears to have a connector for one). The price has been reduced from 29.99 to 9.99 so I didn't even ask for a refund. 7 externally powered ports purchased from a local retailer and connected to the remaining working laptop port. Got what I paid for I guess.
