Have been using ram mounts for a few years now and no problems so far. I had to get this assembly combo after the previous one was stolen from me. (Don't leave it on your bike, if people can take it they will) From the old Moto G to my S8 Active, it fits all the phones I've used. Any device will work except a tablet. Don't worry about the mount coming off, I've done over 80 freeway trips and nothing has broken yet. Of course, make sure it's nice and tight. Take a phone case and hold a cotton paper towel behind the camera. (So no loose rocks from other cars can damage your phone or camera lens)
