Bought these to use in my father's and husband's homes when we visit them. They're so easy to install and you can take them with you when you're done. I think they work better with handles than handles. There have been several instances of cabinet handles not locking properly and my 16 month old was able to pull it off and put it in a cabinet under the sink in my dad's kitchen. Luckily I was in the room and stopped him when he opened the door. Two major cons: (1) you need a 2-door cabinet with external handles/knobs to fit this lock, and (2) you risk scratching the hardware if your child jars the doors hard. Full disclosure, we have magnetic locks for cabinets. at home. Since we are renters I used glue instead of screwing them to the bottom of the closet. This also works for cabinets with one door. My son was able to get the locks off the kitchen sink by vigorously shaking and yanking on the doors. I replaced that pair of locks with a duct tape lock that I use on the toilet lid, refrigerator door, and linen closet. The tape works well and *probably* comes off cleanly if you heat it up with a hair dryer first.
