I've heard a lot about car thieves using sophisticated electronic devices to steal and copy car keys, even when the thieves are outside in their cars. Only trolling around residential areas and trying to pick up signals from key fobs left in homes. I bought this set of 2 to fit in a key case and it comes with a keychain. They fit well without the extra space I don't need. When I get home from driving I put it in the foil of my pocket and it blocks the signal. I tried it while near my car and the doors won't open while it's in the bag. Using it makes me feel a little better protected from hijackers. Just one more layer of security beyond wheel locks, street lights, surveillance cameras, etc. This extra layer of security comes at a small cost.
