There were some dry white spots on the lens, you never know what was on the lens cap and lens hood when you opened it. The focus ring is a bit tight and appears a bit choppy. I will test it thoroughly (during the return period) to ensure the premium nature of this glass is worth the price. I will update the review if necessary. Overall, however, the build quality appears solid and we hope it lives up to the hype. The issue of cleanliness postponed a bit, but hope. It's also worth wiping clean with a damp cloth.
