This is sooo much better than the remote control that came with my Samsung 4k player. I can pause, fast forward and skip instead of hitting a button and changing everything on screen. I don't know why Samsung makes smart remotes use the same buttons for multiple functions? They may look simpler, but they are much more complex than this remote control. The remote I had uses a hard drive (clock) battery. and the buttons no longer work, so not only does this remote use standard AA, it separates the controls into separate buttons. which makes it a lot easier. If you have a Samsung TV, it also has separate mini controls! I recommend this to anyone with a broken Samsung remote or who hates their current one.
