I have had saddles and other J bars and was very excited about this product because it looked sturdy, folded away when not in use and had strap guides to secure the kayak. On first use we found that it was not possible to secure the kayak with feeder rails in the J-Bar and turned to a guide that made no mention of attempting to secure the kayak in this manner. While sailing, the spinner locks to the rods that were released while sailing, so the straps are released and the kayak is no longer locked. No matter how tight you screw the plastic clips into the crossbar assembly, the movement and weight will loosen them. So disappointed! Send these back.
