I have a 2 year old Miniature Australian Shepherd who weighs about 26lbs. I bought a 15ft leash to give him a little more freedom when we have space and time for him to explore and frolic and work on training his recall. I found this leash a little heavy when I received it, but all issues were resolved when I tried it on my dog. It's not heavy at all for my husband and the length gives him some freedom without being too bulky for me as I'm inexperienced with longer lines. I love the feel of the quality and the ease of cleaning, and the bright color lets others know I'm keeping my dog on a leash as required by law. I also like the strong buckle that attaches to my dog's harness. I think my only suggestion for improvement would be to add a heavy duty lockable carabiner as an alternative to the buckle. Can't wait to try it on nature trails!
