My 6 month old battery ran out of juice and wouldn't hold a charge even after some jumping and running (because it was sulphated) after which it would stall and stall when the machine was not used. After running this charger for 24 hours everything was back to normal and I had no problems for the next month. Note: If your battery is _totally_ dead, you may need something else (e.g. jumper cables) to maintain it. Charge it at least a little so that it registers as "battery connected" with this or any other modern charger, or even with "smart" jumpers. Just a fact of the modern world.
