WORKED VERY WELL! tortured!
This tiny thermostat comes with a new gasket and is a simple copper and stainless steel thermostat for my Mercury 50 HP (EFI model) outboard. I installed it but I had to go to work so a friend got my boat out and TRANSPORTED the motor - all day in 100 degree (f*) weather. My previous old thermostat was only half open and the dreaded overheating alarm went off after about 30 minutes of driving. But after installing it, my boat runs full throttle ALL DAY and the engine stays nice and cool. EXCELLENT worked! Would I buy again, maybe even buy another one to have a spare on hand in a few years.
