Luckily for me the price of this lens has gone up significantly since I bought it as I begin this review. My first experience with the Sigma was a hundred years ago with the 28-300 I in front of the camera. The barrel was canned oil and the quality of the picture was mediocre. I needed this lens to shoot interior and exterior renovations of a house as part of a commission. First impression when unpacking. Wow. This is a different lens than my first Sigma. The lens makes a solid and well-made impression. It comes with a nice carry case although I don't use it. My first day playing with the lens was a cloudless day in a tree sanctuary high on a hill. I noticed a lot of vignetting on the LCD for the first few shots. Then I noticed that the aperture at the end of the lens slips slightly, revealing the exposure, Popeye! If you shoot without a lens hood you have to be very careful with the angles of the sun, because of the strong curvature you get big flares. Lens. The lens takes some practice due to distortion and your physical relationship with the subject. As with any lens, don't expect to drop it and start shooting at goalies. I've found many more uses for this lens than I originally anticipated. Besides interior photography, I find it very useful for creating a unique location shot when photographing weddings. I will try to post some photos of customers from the lens.
