Only 5psi on electric fuel pumps

It was a good unit easy to install everything about it is good except pressure it's 5-9psi but barely 5psi. I installed it midway between the tank and carburetor and have a gauge just in front of the carburetor. Of course, it could be a crappy pressure gauge.
