If you encounter problems, please contact customer service in the installation guide (k&n). I had to call them a couple of times to make sure I did everything right. They were professional and helpful. The pictures in the instructions are not the best. My 2018 Challenger v6 has stock mufflers. I noticed a louder exhaust noise when accelerating, but nothing bothersome. It made my car more responsive. Before you start working on the car, make sure you have all the parts listed in the manual. I didn't have a pad, but K&N customer service sent me one.
