As for the clogging of the sensors under the ball - it is removed by simply pressing through the hole from the bottom (you don’t need to unscrew anything), everything is cleaned in half a minute with a cotton swab or just a fingernail, manipulation is necessary at most once a month, so I don’t see a problem in this. In all other respects, as I already wrote a matter of habit, I can’t compare since this is the first trackball, subjective impressions are as follows: when browsing sites and working with documents that do not require frequent work with the ball, the sensations are comfortable, I would not recommend for graphic editors and games that require constant movement of the cursor - the thumb gets tired.
