DO NOT BUY on my review.

Not really for a 1.5 in door. You cannot lock from both sides unless you have a door 2 inches or larger. Either you can use the keyed side or the latch lock, but both will not fit in the 1.5 in opening. So… if you just need a lock this might work. Wasted my money twice because the first time the whole thing snapped in two trying to cut the locks to the right size. Second one wouldn’t work.

Universal fit for doors 1.5 to 1.75 inches thick ensures compatibility with most doors.

Cons

May not provide enough insulation against noise and temperature changes
