These lint catchers are great for catching dog hair to reduce the amount of material getting into your washing machine's pump, which then gets stuck there and eventually causes it to clog and no longer expires. a drum washing machine with vertical motion, but doesn't work that well in a drum washing machine, but that's just common sense. I use fleece blankets for my short haired dogs that shed a lot. They are like a magnet for dog fur! I prewash their comforters in a double tank washer/gravity drain centrifuge before placing them in our front loader. The blanket is in the wash, and it wobbles and stirs during the wash, catching hair. At the end of the wash it magically springs back up and I just pull it out and shake out any fur that's caught in it. my front-loading cars don't take in water, nor does what would otherwise be in my house drain and septic tank. I'm saving a small fortune by avoiding otherwise unavoidable home repairs. I would say they are very well worth the few dollars we paid for them. A very economical investment.
