The handle has a nice grip, and I like the magnet, but the gripper itself is too narrow to be useful for picking up certain things. A 20oz plastic bottle gets stuck, for example, so you have to remove it with your hand rather than just releasing the trigger. So, if you're wanting to pick up something like a shoe or certain types of laundry, you may be out of luck. My old one (of a different brand) had about an extra inch of gripper width, so this one is taking some getting used to.*UPDATE: It may not be the best grip size, but it has certainly outlasted all of my others.
