There are some good videos on YouTube with instructions to complement the ones to come.

Direct replacement for the Toyo OEM antenna on my 98th 4runner. If your antenna is broken, you need this. These Toyota antennas tend to break in two ways. If the metal pole breaks, you can simply remove the chrome nut, pull out the reminder, and put a new replacement in it. Takes about 10 minutes. If the plastic "gear" breaks and part of it is still in this thing, things get a little more complicated. You'll need some basic automotive tools, some lube, and an hour or two to pull, disassemble, and reassemble the retractor. It's not a job for a beginner, but it's one that most shade tree mechanics can handle. There are some good instructional videos on YouTube to complement the videos that come with this product.
