First of all, this is a very modern machine. A nice upgrade from the ugly water coolers you're used to seeing in offices and other places. It is ready to use almost immediately. I quickly washed everything before filling it with water, then collected the tanks and turned it on. After I filled it with water, it spat out ice cold water after a few minutes. There are three big pluses that I really like about this water cooler: - No plastic or chemical aftertaste - The temperature control is easy to use and I love it. that I can adjust it up or down - I can just use tap water and let the filter do its job instead of buying big 5 gallon blue bottles of pre-filtered water. I'm so glad I chose this one and would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of getting one!
