I received and installed the kit and encountered some issues. The pads are wrong for several reasons. First, they don't quite fit. The lining hangs down from the rotor. This can cause vibrations on the road. The material and quality of the lining is terrible. They quickly become soaked with heat and burn out, resulting in very poor braking performance. After removing them, I found that the pads were also pitted and chipped. I have checked that the supplied rotor is the correct diameter and that the caliper bracket is as tight to the hub as possible. The brakes work well with new slide pins and the correct caliper lube. It is also worth noting that the car's brakes (despite wear) worked well with the old pads, and also worked well after throwing out this junk and installing high-quality middle pads. The problem was exclusively related to these pads. The scope of delivery is incorrect or of poor quality. The rubber boot pins and such are fine, but the clamps that attach to the caliper bracket that the brake pads sit in and also the springs do not work properly. The slots that the earpads enter are not properly shaped causing excessive resistance, the slots are irregularly square and have a slight taper that pinches the ear on the earpad. Also, there is what I believe is considered a foot that makes contact with the pad baseplate on the underside of the pad (inside the hub). This foot creates a SMALL spring tension on the pad over the entire (supposedly wide and flat) flat surface of the foot. I assume this keeps the pad from dangling in the rail? In any case, this is done to stabilize the pillow, not to fix it. The clamps included in this kit are of a different design and are not only shaped to allow for smaller contact but also have large spring pressure. So much so that it pushes the pad up so much that when the brake was released and the pads dragged, the pad did not relax. Considering it didn't look like a stuck caliper, it was enough to cause excessive wear, noise and even more heat fade. Note. I've only swapped out hardware and tried new hardware with these pads to see if the pads are actually junk. It wasn't the hardware that made the pads look bad. Finally, the springs that tensioned the pads when the brakes were not being used were too long and had very little spring tension. They were practically meaningless. I also picked up a new center hardware kit to replace the one that came with this kit. In the end I didn't send the kit back because I need the car to drive to work and pass an inspection. The rubber boots and rotors seem fine and I have neither the time nor the ambition to take the car apart, wait for a new parts order and then put it back together. At least the rotors feel nice and smooth under braking. In the end, the price I paid for a set of quality perforated/slotted rotors and rubber boots wasn't high, but it wasn't terrible either. It's definitely not a deal. To recap, the mounting kit and pads are of such poor quality that I consider them useless and dangerous, while the rubber boots and components for the side pins and rotors are good. When I combined these rotor and rubber sleeve sets with the center mount set and pads, I had good brakes again. is a problem, I wanted to elaborate on what I think are the real problems with this product.
