I just received my ScanSnap and immediately installed it and started scanning. It's an impressive little machine, it scans fast. Faster than our network copier at work and my Canon color printer/scanner at home. The package includes a license code, a multilingual safety manual, a getting started guide, a limited warranty guide and an installation DVD. Simply follow the instructions in the Getting Started Guide and use the CD to install your scanner. I am using a Macbook Pro with OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5. Installation is easy. If you're scanning multiple pages, load one page at a time until you're done, and when you click Done you'll be prompted to choose how and where you want to save the entire document. The only thing that bothers me is that I tried to save mine to my google drive but for some reason it doesn't accept my password, also the USB port is on the left side. The picture shows only the product without the USB cable connected. All the USB ports on my 2012 Macbook Pro are on the left side, the CD drive is on the right side, so having the cable in the way when scanning documents is a bit inconvenient. I want threads to line my desk and I don't like seeing wires everywhere. I have attached an image here. I have yet to read the manual to understand why I can't save my documents directly to my Google Drive. Otherwise it should have been perfect.
