If you are considering this moka pot, don't hesitate any longer! I was looking for a cheap moka pot to see if I could make cafe con leche at home. I've been making espresso with it daily for over 2 months now and it's held up really well! The red color hasn't faded or rubbed off after washing and I definitely tested that. I've rubbed off a few coffee stains but the redness isn't gone yet. Now that I know I can make great espresso based drinks I don't even have the urge to upgrade because this coffee maker is awesome!
