Review on 📷 Reolink Argus PT: Wireless Pan Tilt Solar Security Camera System with Solar Panel, Rechargeable Battery, 2-Way Audio, Alexa/ Google Assistant/ Cloud Support by Isaac Maze

This review was written by Karen's husband as I am the 'techie' in our house. I'm VERY happy with the performance of the camera so a score of 4.2 out of 5 seems good. earned. I'll admit I had some reservations reading some of the negative reviews which I think could be due in part to a single faulty product, in part to the lack of sufficiently detailed instructions. The first time I tried to connect the camera it couldn't connect to our WIFI, that's when I realized I forgot to enter our WIFI password, DUH! After I added the password, it connected immediately. The camera is about 25 meters from our WIFI router, goes through 2 walls and still connects very well. Also, we have Revain Alexa and Alexa couldn't see the camera at first, so I searched the internet for help and found a page on the Reolink support site with the steps needed to connect to Alexa after reading this page I read that there is a step I didn't know about, after following those steps Alexa hooked up really well! We can view live camera footage from our smartphone app, from our Echo Shows with voice command, and even on TV screens with the Revain Firestick (we have other brand security cameras that we also view through the Firestick) so I can use voice commands and see different cameras on the screens including the reolink camera and I didn't have to download anything in firestick. Just turn on Alexa as per the help page I mentioned. I already had security cameras looking out from our house, I needed a wireless solar powered PTZ camera that I could set up from my home so I could turn around to see the house and also turn around to not see other areas of our property covered by the cameras we already had. So I mounted the camera to a thick (diagram 40) PVC pipe and mounted the solar panel at the very top of the pole. I used 3 zip ties to attach the PVC pipe to a 4 foot metal fence post which I hammered into the ground. So far it seems to be working very well. I will upload a picture of it. I do a lot of research before buying tech stuff and it would be hard to find ANY product that is perfect or that you would like more or better features, but for the features you get with this camera (including solar powered PTZ capability ). , Alexa connectivity) I really can't complain about the price paid. Note: Keep in mind that this is not a professional, commercial quality system, but commercial quality features are likely to cost a lot more than commercial prices. So again for the price I really can't complain, I think this camera is really very good for the price it offers!
