Review on 🚲 Ibera Bicycle Touring Carrier Rack with Fender Board - Frame-Mounted for Heavy Top & Side Loads, Height Adjustable for 26"-29" Frames by Jacob Leon

I have just bought a second Ibera PakRak Touring Carrier Plus because I have been using the first one for over a year on my main/day trip and needed a second carrier for mine I mostly cook up a second bike for commuting where I don't want to worry about my main bike getting lost or stolen. It won't be the best choice for everyone, but it's definitely one of the most durable, lightest, yet cheapest solutions for everything from daily commutes to international touring. The main problem with this rack will be for those who want to pack baskets from other brands, not all of which will fit without additional modifications. My solution to using my favorite Axiom baskets and the Rackbook Pro case (with Rixen and Kaul flip lock mounts) I added a couple of small P-clamps that screwed on with the same screws that the connect lower extension posts to which I then added 1 inch rings for keys. The key rings give me room on each side of the trunk to attach lower basket hooks to keep everything tight and secure. I'm sure these racks are great for Ibera panniers, but it would be nice if Ibera included attachment points for those using other pannier solutions, especially for people like me who don't want to spend more than necessary on bags. . , but who isn't particularly keen on Ibera's quick release system (I prefer my panniers to be a little harder to remove (steal) since I mostly drive with an expensive laptop. Particularly appreciated are the facts that (1) this trunk opens wide fold back enough to keep my panniers off the heels of my big feet - even when I'm wearing boots and using toe clips, (2) the trunk protects my wheels from pannier bumps, and (3) the trunk has a fairly large, stable area with plenty of potential Attachment points for carrying loads so it's great for carrying all my camping gear upstairs including tent, fly, mat, pillow and sleeping bag whilst using relatively small baskets to carry everything else when traveling.
