I saw some bad reviews for this toilet seat so I expected the seat to be cheap, flimsy, unsupportive etc. For the price, it's actually a solid quality product. Previously, soft toilet seats would have their seams come undone with minimal use. All of the seams and connections on this seat feel very secure. I'm a heavy person - over 200 pounds - and although I've only had the seat for about a month it seems to be holding up well. I'm not thrilled with the color and wish I had more choices but it doesn't really matter. Installation was easy for this "big girl" and I didn't even have to use any tools. The whole thing took me maybe seven minutes, including pulling the seat out of the box. The seat feels very secure on the toilet itself and doesn't wobble at all during use. It's also nice and soft, but not too soft to shrink to zero. It feels "just right" even when I press hard. I bought soft toilet seats from a big store and apparently changed them every few months or so. They cracked, the plastic broke, they moved, they needed constant tightening, etc. They were very cheap - that's all. After the last one self-destructed and I had to "fix" it with duct tape, I said forget it - no more cheap toilet seats in big boxes. And thankfully, Revain had a decent selection of those bolstered seats. This seat feels MUCH stronger than the big drawers - I noticed how much heavier it is when I took it out of the box. Installation was also much easier than with the large box seats. I didn't have to stretch at all. The cushioning foam in this seat feels a lot more durable than the cheap models (but not in a bad way). It's easy to erase. Good value for money, looks good and was easy to install. If you have doubts about the purchase, I would say - go for it. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and performance of this toilet seat for the price.
