Review on WARN 92100 ProVantage Plow Assembly by Wayne Seba

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you are considering a ProVantage blade, READ THIS FIRST.

Finding the right parts can be pretty confusing, so let me explain the ProVantage system. The entire plow consists of four parts: 1. Vehicle specific kit (One of many part numbers. Highlight [.] to find the kit for your specific vehicle.)2. Thrust Tube Assembly (P/N 92100 or 78100; depending on the type of kit used)3. Plow (P/N 78950, 78954, 78960, 80954 or 80960; two different types (straight and tapered), three different widths (50", 54", 60") alternatively, Warn P/N 84600 is a special one lift) There are two main types for #1 and #2: center hitch and front hitch If you have a front hitch I would recommend this as it allows you to raise the plow higher You will need to select a front push rod assembly, P/N 92100* **If you choose a medium mounting kit you will need to select a medium thrust tube assembly, P/N 78100 #3 does not require #4 when purchasing and installing the winch with the remaining components, be sure to read the instructions for the Front mount kit.y After you install the winch mount you will need to disassemble it to install the plow mount. For this reason I highly recommend purchasing a WARN winch mount no matter what winch you install in it.Warn winch attachments must n Be compatible with Warn plow attachments. Any decent ROLLER will do. DO NOT USE A HAWSE CAP. In addition to their regular fairleads (which work acceptably), Warn sells a roller fairlead designed specifically for plowing, P/N 69373. This fairlead has an extra large lower roller to reduce bending stress and extend winch cable life. Warn also sells an 8-foot synthetic plow lift line (P/N 68560) to reduce wear and tear on traditional winch lines. I recommend a fast winch - plowing will raise and lower you dozens of times. Make sure you put the winch control in a convenient place - you don't have to reach for it every time. Several useful options are available: 1. Power Pivot (P/N 79360) - the electric motor rotates the blade. If you do a lot of plowing, this can be useful.2. Shovel Loader Conversion (P/N 83133, 84133, or 85133 depending on blade width) – Converts a traditional blade into a Shovel Loader for handling loose material (sand, gravel, topsoil, mulch, etc.). There are multiple freezes. You will have in certain situations. For example, if you want to use an assembled plow on two different ATV models, it may or may not work. The vehicle-specific mounting kit includes two "tabs" that bolt to the thrust tube and allow for quick attachment to the bracket. One model's ledges may or may not be the same height or spacing as another model's ledges. the set of "tongues" mentioned above for the second plow is missing and you will need to contact WARN to obtain a second set. They sent them for free but contact them first to confirm. Once you have all the parts you need, assembly should be fairly easy. Unfortunately, you're reading 3-5 different building instructions at once, one for each of the parts you're buying, so it can get a bit confusing. So far, that's my only real complaint about the entire set.
