***Update below*** Tested and still satisfied as of 3/26/2018-- This water filter is a must! Eventually, the filter's price has dropped to the point where it justifies buying it without a jug. Great filter. I got it because of the aftermath of Fukushima. The water tested in Idaho is full of radioactivity, although those in power are silent about it. I haven't tested the filtered water but plan to do just that, so I don't know if it delivers on its promise of removing cesium and other radioactive materials. I filter the water through a Pur pitcher to remove the heavy minerals and then pour Pur into the pitcher to remove the radioactive material. I didn't want to clog the more expensive "Seychellois" filter with minerals. At least I feel like I've done "everything" for my 3 year old and I can take comfort in that. The islands removed harmful materials, including cesium! It's official, it works. So I suspect other negative reviews are from competitors. I make money from Chinese imports and am under the scrutiny of the international manufacturing community, so I wouldn't risk my career unnecessarily supporting or fighting a manufacturer!
